This page is about my 2011 Kona Big Kahuna, bought from Full Cycle in October 2010.
This bike is an insurance replacement for my 2009 model which was stolen. It took about a month and a bit to get the replacement cheque. I was given two options: a cash payout equal to the original price minus depreciation, or replacement value minus a deductible of $500. In this case, I went with the latter, as it was over $600 more, although it did force me to buy another bike from the same bike shop (not a bad thing though).
This time around, I went for a 20" frame instead of a 22", as I found that the 22" frame that the 2009 model had was a bit too big. The 20" frame has just that much lower of a standover and top tube length to fit me a lot better.
